Both my husband and I are very fair skinned, and we want to maximize our time on the beach by staying in the shade. Staying at La Cabana May 20-27 and heard it may be difficult to get a palapas on the beach.
Anyone know where I can buy an umbrella or ...

If I'd paid the Hyatt for a palapa (which I didn't; we've been using the big one) I don't think I'd have :)
I do think shade is critical for anyone fair skinned - with it, the beach is wonderful; without problems gettting a palapa....

What is the best way to get to La Entrega beach while staying at Dreams. Is it fairly close or quite a hike from Dreams?. Are you able to rent lockers and life jackets if you want to go snorkeling.? What do you do with beach stuff while snorkeling?

There are about 6-8 palapa for Malaquias, AKA Mala, he works at La Entrega Restaurant, speaks good English, he will keep your stuff safe.
Especially in the morning.
The bay is very calm...

Mais les plages de Paraiso, Sirena et Mal tiempo sont partout elle aussi, malheureusement... .
Il y a encore de la mousse beige et on a perdu la plage plus souvent qu'autrement.
La plage aux hôtels est changeante.

Anybody have any info on the beach erosion and flooding on Holbox? We've been there before and wanted to go back, the hotel we had planned on styaing has closed due to the water. Any one know how the island is fairing and where it may be safe to stay?...
