Why would family members not talk to family members? What reason could there possibly be to NOT talk to your own family?
Is it possible to reconcile? If so, how?

There are online options like copilot which I have used but even those simple steps can be difficult to accomplish with computer phobic relatives.
Would a MAC be a better? Would upgrading to Windows 7 make things better or worse? Anything else?
