More info to name chords....
For example, in C, a fm chord wouldn't be
analysed as iv, but rather as a borrowed chord.
"Diatonic" basically =
"normal" or "native".
It wouldn't be a diatonic chord in a major key.

Dont' know the name of that chord in your new song? Post it here. Let us know the notes, bottom to top, in the chord. Also, let us know three other things: the name of the chord before it, the name of the chord after it, and the key of the song.

And, of course, in the key of D, it is the famous "Taxman" chordI always just called it the "Purple Haze" chord.
