Sample Chatter Excerpts
How would you survive if there were no fast-food chains, take-outs or pre-packaged foods available?
I'd basically do what I already do--cook and serve foods without preservatives, artificial colors and other chemical additives. Fresh fruits and vegetables, good cuts of meat and natural cheeses. You know, only a few generations ago, folks did it all the time! source
Best fast food hamburger?
Yeah, the only chains guaranteed to be near you, wherever you are--McDonald's, Burger King and Wendy's--are all pretty shitty hamburgers. I guess I'd pick Wendy's over the other two, though. Otherwise, if you happen to live near a Five Guys, yes. And of course, if you live in California why are you even asking this question. source
Soviet fast food chains?
I doubt there would have been fast food chains in the USSR, considering that such chains would be run by a large parent corporation. The only fast food would be available through much smaller enterprises, like kvass stands and local food stalls, not chains. However, probably during perestroika, there may have been some chains run by Pepsi Foods, like Pizza Hut, since Coca-Cola had entered Soviet markets, but I'm not sure whether that happened before or after 1991. source
Dear American Redditors, if your health care reform is passed, and your tax dollars are paying for health care of ors, will you finally start smacking the food out of the hands of those fat-asses who go to fast food chains often their fat-ass fingers can count?
No, the government will take care of that I'm sure. Also things like skateboarding, rock climbing, reddititing while drunk will be either banned outright or heavily taxed to make up for the risks to personal health and therefore the costs to the health care system. source
Why, WhY, O WHY do people think we fast food workers are stupid?
Normally smarter people tend to have better jobs. Some fast food restaurants employ mexican people and some of them can't speak english so they are labled as stupid people. source
