I was listening to Apostrophe today- the drumming is incredible on this album. Particularly "St. Alfonzo's Pancake Breakfast." I believe its Ralph Humphrey. What an amazing mix of funkiness, dexterity and just pure groove.

Yes, it's in 3/4, an unusual metric for pop/rock songs, but his patterns on this song are very fave, maybe because I preferred the music and production on earlier albums.
