Not a huge surprise though - Gulbis is a tough match at any time and it
was similar to the situation when he....
Gulbis is quite awful opponent though -
immensely powerful serve year to guarantee
some matches.
Poor performance by Djoker.

I was just looking at some stats with the Oncourt software and found out that Federer is 112-10 on clay if Nadal is not included since 2004. I was astounded to find out that his stats on hardcourt against the tour minus Nadal was actually worse: 336-4...

If Federer reaches the final of Roland Garros this year, precedent suggests that he will lose to Nadal and then be too worn out to play in Halle the following week.
