I don't know what to do against certain characters. (I use Mitsu)
For example, VS Nightmare, if he catches me I'm dead with 5 hits and I can't block or tech roll or roll to the side when he strikes. I try side stepping but always get caught with his swings...

My advice is to find a Nightmare player or just practice against the final Nightmare in hard-level Arcade and get destroyed... .
Nightmare may appear like he's unstoppable but he's actually very unsafe and can be interrupted during quite a few of his moves .
