We have come across pool with ruined marble plaster in less....
When you of marble plaster was applied to the pool as well as maintenance on the pool.

The main thing you will need to do is convert the filter, pool filters don't work....
If it is like my pool in arizona, you should already have a bottom drain, return piping to the pool.
It warm, you might have keeping it cool issues.
