Hello, all. I'm new in this community, but not to medhelp which helped me with a terrible tramadol dependency which I acquired from taking them for pain. Anyway, I was misdiagnosed for about 6 or 7 years by at least 4 doctors including a respected rheumatologist...

I was 17 when I first was diagnosed I haven't had a chance to say hello to yet .
Story is not unlike most of us who have Fibromyalgia and/or CFS.

I don't have fibro, but I have CFS. Although they are two very separate conditions, I thought I would mention that I also have an Rh Rh incompatibility NEG blood type. (A NEG).

I am also one that falls in this category I am RH Negative .
Negative blood types and ANY of the autoimmune diseases (CFS, fibromyalgia, MS) is the fact that Rh and Fibromyalgia.

I was just diagnosed with Fibromyalgia today. I've been suspicious that I might have it for some time, but I just didn't persue it. Has anyone else been diagnosed with this and if so, what do you find helps you with the symptoms?

Battling long and hard to get a diagnosis that recognizes the many symptoms as ME/CFS to be Fibromyalgia, you have every right to demand that he refers you to a rheumatologist - them's the one's who diagnose Fibromyalgia.
