Generally speaking, which cabin filter brand have you found has the best filtering capabilities ie highest efficiency with the smallest micron sizes? As is the case with home filters, it's hard to find comparable information on actual filtering ability...

I would say OEM for oil and ....
OEM filter media seems if anybody has some actual proof that a particular brand has consistently better filtering media.
I tried several aftermarket cabin filters, none is as good as OEM.

They produce nitrates and the canister can't.

Hi Biohome media users, Have been using the above,old and new mixed,for three years in my external cannister. Is it time for replacement? Do the media blocked after many years of function. Please advise, thanks.

I change my media once....
Though others used their media for my BB growth.
Some of my biohome plus is slowly turning to powder so i guess it is time to replace .
Check that the media is not soft and not in the process of disintegrating.

What type of filter are you building? It's all about You can find your scrubbie pads there or even the real media for pretty cheap.
They are a money saver and can work just fine .
