After not being able to maintain credit card payments the £9000 debt was sold to link financial I have only ever received one letter I offered £200 a month ( I not sure if I can afford this ) they...

Have to admit I'm a little perplexed....
Not a financial or legal expert (no doubt one will be along), but aside from the issue of converting this as "writing off" the debt? Clearly they are just seeking to recover the funds by another means.

The circumstances, if a debt is run up on a credit card, then someone surely has to pay it back be one charge on the property.

Then received the letter from link saying they had been assigned the debt.
From Volvo advising they had passed the debt on to FCE who had reassigned to Link - oooh the lovely link.

Here's the letter, from here obviously... It's for a Kays catalogue debt - we recieved the last of threatening letters before further action so decided it's time to contact them. Just wondering whether it would be s.77 or s.78 that I write....?

I'v had a look at my CRA file and noticed that Link have entered a default in 2008 now Im sure MBNA would have recorded a default when the debut was not serviced...

My opinion is she is right, and....
The $80k does not equal financial stability, nor does $1000.
She is in a bad position.
