At least 3 people I went to school with who are still under 30 that are involved with the Fire Department that I've talked to liked Matt Weber. All 3 of them know if they said something bad to me it was safe, but they had nothing bad to say about him....

Private's pay around $7 to $9 for a EMT and around $12 or so for a MEDIC.They can get lots of OT.
If you are going to work for a private EMS or a 'county or city' EMS .

Here in South Florida, firefighter positions that that position is overpaid relative to other available options.

To work in EMS in Florida do you also have to be firefighter? I'm on my way to get my EMT-B and Paramedic right after,but everyone I talked to said being a firefighter is mandatory to get any kind of employment opportunities in Florida for the EMS field...

I think you do everything an EMT can do except basic first aid training, CPR and CERT....
Are you certified to give drugs? Only advanced courses below an EMT and is an 80 hour course I believe.
Unless you are a certified EMT.
