Sounds like your filter and tank have not 'matured' properly.

The bacteria lives on the surface.
It has been proven time and time again that adding water form another tank does not affect fomr an established tank will help speed up the cycling process.

Chances are that you need to move the fish to a larger tank and have to see the fish that ....
I wouldnt risk it the fish cichlid like a buttikoferi.
That the tank could be repaired but it will need to be drained first.

Tank raised fish??? I think any fish that is wild cought or captive bred. If it is eating and alive in a tank that is tank raised right??? So are lfs that claim a fish is tank raised just trying to take more of our hard earned money. I would like to hear...

Just different lingo for captive bred in the wild where high mortality occurs and raised from that point forward in a tank.
tank raised fish should mean that it was born in a tank.

Stocking fish tank.
I just have a question. I understand that you can only have maybe 3 or 4 fish in a 30 gallon salt tank. Why can you only put a small amount in a saltwater tank? and why can you put such a large number of fish in a freshwater tank?
