When does your stuff come from the north amercia fishing club?
I was a member 3 times over the last 20 years and I also never got anything to test. I think they reserve those item for the members who buy the lifetime membership. I got some line, swivels and hooks over the years but never anything to test. I just remember being nickel and dimmed the whole way asking to buy books and stuff that was not worth a damn. I always looked forward to canceling my membership. I just stick now to being a member of BASS and have been treated good since I was 13 also getting to work at tournaments too where I got to meet the top pros. I like the NAFC show and the magazine was ok too, but there is something creepy and shady about the membership process.

What turned you on to kayak fishing?
My dad started making kayaks and canoes in the mid 90's. It was only a matter of time before we started fishing out of them. They were SINK's, so fishing out of them was a little difficult but worth it at the time. Now those have become are cruisin kayaks while we fish out of Perception Bimini's.

Sight Fishing Bedding Fish - Opinion?
Feel the same as you, but unfortunately fishing bass tournaments you have to take a few off their beds. They do get released back but usually nowhere near their beds so I'm sure it's hurting a little.

Bheemeshwari Mahaseer Fishing - Is it for real?
We traveled to the Jungle Lodges Bheemeshwari Fishing Camp in February 2008, and found it to be terribly equipped. It was our first time fishing, so we didn't expect much, but all we got were two nylon threads with wire hooks. The staff was extremely disinterested and lazy, and didn't offer any kind of help.
You should also be prepared for busloads of daytrippers from Bangalore - especially if you're there on a weekend. A school picnic or office seminar at the resort could completely ruin your holiday.
We've stayed at a couple of the other Jungle Lodges in Karnataka and had very good experiences. You should try and find out if any of the others are good for fishing.

So how did you get into fly fishing?
My father bought me a budget trout setup, I took some casting lessons and was hooked. Started fishing the trout streams in Maryland but once I fly fished the salt I never went back.
