Just curious what most do when buying their fishing license. Do you buy a 1yr or 3 yr and why? I buy a 1 yr license because we don't get a discount and why give the government extra money. Like most I frequent numerous...

I rarely keep fish and with dad passing it will be down to almost 0 from now on unless I am with their fishing....
Revenue so take the 13 jurisdictions and multiply it by $30 or so and you have a fishing license license.

We need a National Fishing License for those over 65. I've been on the road for four months and have been in some 15 states. $50 here and $50 there just to fish in two different states. Have a one time fee and be done with it.

There are several moves afoot for a national fishing license.
The 2nd state we finally decided to purchase 1-1 year fishing license so that one of us could fish.

I pretty sure all MA hunting, fishing, trapping, and sporting licensees are being sold via the web this year and onward. Here is the website with the info: http://www.mass.gov/dfwele/dfw/recreation/licensing/licensing_home.htm

The website indicates that everything is online now, but there are still "license vendors" to do saltwater license there was a designated computer at Goose Hummock in Orleans, Cape Cod that you could go through and buy / print your license....

I have looked it up on the state's website but it's very confusing to me. They changed the clam license to a shellfish license and states a person may have 6 legal lobsters per day, but doesn't show if it's covered under that license, or if it's a seperate...

Only need a rec lobster pot permit if you use pots .
Not snailsfar as i can tell you don't need a license.
Not shrimp.
Crabs, clams.
Shell fish are misleading too.
There is a license on lobsters either.

Anyone else miffed that Mass no longer sells fishing licenses through local town halls? Learned this on Monday when I tried to get mine and the town clerk informed me I now had to either buy online, or go to Dick's or another commercial venue...

Not to mention the vast number of opportunities the road and thus increase license prices in advance of the recession in an effort to "build up" funds.
Pass for anything cheaper than a fishing license.

I haven't heard or seen anything on here about it but does Georgia have separate tribal hunting and fishing laws? I know with my tribe in Michigan I could buy a separate license that only cost 10 bucks for all my hunting and fishing licenses..but you ...
