Our montly payment has increased from 733 per month to 755, not a huge but what is the... .
The 5 year fixed rate is 8.15 of the fixed rate I feel .

I'm currently on 6.77% (after the rba reduction) variable with a relatively small loan. my bank has just dropped fixed rates to: 1yr - 6.09% 2 or 3 yr - 5.99% 5 yr - 6.69% I'm considering a one, two or three year fix. what do you think?

If fixed rates go that low again I'd definitely fix all my IP loans next time, and keep the PPOR with a relatively small loan.

Mortgage rates are tied to bond yields and when they drop the cost of paying off a mortgage (there are usually little or no penalties with variable rate mortgages current ....

A little Birdie whispered to me that rates will probably be going up this week, so if you are arranging a mortgage and/or re-financing, consolidating or whatever, you might want to get a rate hold tomorrow. Just an FYI. . .
