Rude, possibly a scam, but more likely just lazy guys who are spamming every girl in a 50-mile radius and hoping to find one who isn't all that picky (or is really desperate for sex) .

I think most people just pick a flag that they like or a courtesy flag, they should be displayed off the right/correct flagstaff according to Hoyle..
