Germans used sometimes anti-personel cluster bombs.
Probably the most common flak suppression weapon was the onboard cannon/mgs, part of the formation attacking Flak positions while others attacked the primary target(s).

Hydra Flak Tanks: Useful them useful for firing with Las-Cannons since Auto-Cannons will be used for Sentinels or Hydra Flak.
To be wiped, but Ld7, don't plan for it unless you have Kell or an LC nearby .

On the plus side, it's more survivable when it comes to weapons destroyed!
Points efficiency... .
I got caught up on that once, mostly due to the appearance of the model I thought it was a single turret .
A Hydra that moves can only shoot one of it's two Hydra AC's .
