I don't know if it is possible to add a Flash banner into a Wordpress theme... Ideally, this banner would be in the header of the site always. Any ideas on how I might accomplish this?

This way it will degrade gracefully for everyone that lacks a proper flash player.
You need to edit the corresponding .php file that contains your banner (I don't know what version with a Flash movie.

Hi
I want to create banner and do exchange with others. Banner will be flash because it will load just entry titles with URL's from XML, which is on my site.

You can find information about both methods at....
When getting data via ActionScript you can use the async URLLoader or use a JavaScript function via the synchronous ExternalInterface.call .
You could use ActionScript to load the XML from the other sites .

We've been creating banners using the getURL linking method (in a blank window). For many people, it works just fine. You click the banner and are taken to our site. For others (me included), clicking the flash object triggers a pop-up warning in FireFox...
