Worst quality flowers. Purchased a beautiful looking picture of a bouquet to send to a funeral
in Appleton Wisconsin. Thank goodness the funeral director rejected them- he said they were the worst
Appalling that they think because the person is dead they can get away with sending dead flowers

I really didn't want to thread-jack the "Funeral Flowers" thread, as this is hypothetical.
Anyway
, is it rude for the next of kin to place restrictions, for lack of a better word, on the flowers
that funerals are the only place where flowers smell bad?
Overpowering, I guess. Our morning paper today

question is, since her Mom asked for flowers b/c she was concerned that not many people would send
outside the area. Or you can call like a 1800 flowers kind of place. They can help you decide on what

The only flowers I like are calla lillies...how "appropriate" that is for a funeral, I don't know
. You could always ask the florist (or look online) for funeral arrangements.
keep.Usually the funeral director will get the cards off the flowers and give them to the family

flowers to the service, not just for her memory, but for her children. If I send flowers in my name
or anonymously, Sibling will blow a gasket. I mentioned to Good Sibling that I plan to send flowers
anything. Leave the card off. I don't send flowers any more since I realized most florists don't even

I orders some flowers for my ex mother-in-law's funeral, needless to say Proflowers called
the morning of the funeral and was unable to found a florist in the area to make the arrangements
quickly. Instead, wait until the day after the funeral, and send the flowers to the house

More people shoiuld send a sympathy basket instead of flowers, as they are only displayed for one
day. My thought is to convince every funeral director(tons of them) to send a small basket as a thank
share of the sales. When my mom died last year, we did not get flowers from the funeral director

And I would like to make something with them for my family members. I have lots of flowers. Any
you could get some clear glass Christmas ornaments and put the dried flowers in them. Like
those from my Grandma's funeral too and they turned out gorgeous.
