I need to find a point that is a visual center of an irregularly shaped polygon. By visual center, I mean a point that appears to be in the center of a large area of the polygon visually. The application is to put a label inside the polygon.

EDIT: This method won't work if the polygon has "holes"
Compute the centre position (x,y) of each edge of the polygon .
This problem would probably be analogous to finding the "center of mass" assuming a uniform density .

Are you sure that the words really are double-spaced, and that it's not just the Kindle's not-always-terribly-good justification that you're seeing? Have you looked at the Mobi source and verified that there genuinely are double spaces between the words... .

You can usually fix that by selecting it and changing the font in
Word..
So it used a substitute font.
