This the blue you want? Plastikote #224 is the closest match... .
They had a few different shades of Ford Blue.
Different blue colors dark and light I'm of the understanding the lighter "Ford blue" was used pre '66I got mine from Napa.

Not the Ranger specificly.
To need it color matched at a bodyshop to get it right (and not much looks worse that paint Ford Trucks.

My 53 was done in 1992-93 and we picked a current Ford color called Deep Jewel Green.

The engine in my 49 Plymouth needs repainting and I would like some suggestions on the color.
Presently, the motor is gray, as seen in the photos. I can live with this color, but perhaps something different.

You do know that you don't have to use engine paint to paint and gray idea....
Black is fine, as is Ford Blue.
You could paint the head with Dupli-Color "aluminum" engine enamel and paint silver.
Starting in 1967.
