Check with Ford, I think they may have done.
Tie rod, bent rim, wheel out of balance, shifted belt in tire, ford recall was on broken coil mechanic and get it checked out, some shops do free estimates.

My windstar with a 3.8 v6 has started idleing up and down from 900 to 1600 rpm after it warms up. Seems to run fine except it wont idle normally.

This is my guess as well.
Replace it for $45 or so.
Cleaning them is, in my opinion, a waste of time .

This may sound funny but with the engine cool take the top heater hose off and pour in coolant until coolant flows freely without air bubbles, this will get any air out of the system, if the problem comes back repost! OK, that does sound funny .

windstar did the same thing but it ended up blowing a line, there is pressure switch inside the pump on Monday.
