If Rebirth is designed using Steamworks then the game will essentially be married to the Steam:rebirth.
As a fan i love the fact to have a real book and a DVD ready .
Will come with rebirth.

How shall the shielding be handled in Rebirth? Will it be the old system of a second layer of hull or will it be an field that is projected a distance away from the ship so fighters and other small craft can slip in underneath and attack the ships hull...

Reason i ask, if the only thing you can directly pilot are drones how strong will they be compared to M3/4/5s ? In X3 reunion i only use them as cannon fodder or distractions for my own fighter and they die quite fast.
Will they be given shields and heavier...
