There is a semi-official (and is in the official forum) poll about and I think that if anyone had found even a sniff of one actually out there then this forum would be all over of one actually....
That Rebirth is to come out in 2012.

It would do wonders for PR and the modding community if you somehow allowed the modding community to use the Steam Workshop, it's done great things for Skyrim and Portal 2, I'm sure Rebirth can do the same

The workshop is just a subforum of a forum of a game developer's website....
Thats if X Rebirth will be on Steam and if it is then I think that steam will have to have% chance that Rebirth becomes steam free, the mods will work fine on it.
