Hi,
I have fraternal twins aged 2 1/2. If I was to get pregnant again do I have an increased chance of fraternal twins again?
I also have a 4 year old girl.

So from what I've read a blood test is generally needed after delivery to determine whether twins are identical or not.
But from what I see here on this board, it seems as though some of you already know whether you are expecting identical twins or not...

Of course b/g are fraternal.
If they share the same placenta fraternal, apparently it's 1:9 are ID.
We knew at 6 weeks 5 days they were twins and identical.

My MIl sent our her own birth announcements (don't get me starte on this!) and wrote "fraternal" twins on it, she did the same with my shower invites. Perhaps I'm hyper sensitive but this bugs me!!wth?!

Yesterday at our u/s we got to see and hear the babies heartbeats! It was such a beautiful sound. At 7w3d Baby As was 144 and Baby Bs heartrate was 142. Even though we are on TEAM GREEN its hard not to guess what they might be. Its also hard not to think...

I just got home from my first MFM appointment/anatomy scan and there was a 23% size discordance between baby a and baby b, my girl being the smaller of the two. The doctor showed me their measurments and sure enough all the way down the board she falls...

As long is that growth discordance in and of itself is not a huge concern with di/di twins because they expect each twins are also....
The MFM explained that they look at the growth of fraternal twins on an individual basis.

We had our first ultrasound with our RE detecting our twins. I have another ultrasound Wed the 15th at 8 1/2 weeks with our OB. When can your OB determine how many placenta's there are? Can the first ultrasound pic usually show it?

Why do people insist that twins have names that sounds/spell look alike, rhyme, or have other connections.
That later you can shout "Jay!" to make both of them answer? You must hate your twins.

I am 23 weeks tomorrow, have a set of identical twins (mono/di - one.
At 20 weeks said to be thankful for that.
Was diagnosed with stage 3C twin to twin transfusion.
Identical girls & a fraternal brother.
