If you start with FreeBSD, then later, then the FreeBSD later complains that drive cannot be GPT partitioned.
FreeBSD 9 will not dual boot with Windows Vista/7/2008.

To back up the data I would recommend....
I think that you can replace the drives one at a time, but that would require three reboots and it's dangerous since you will be running with a degraded array .
Backing up and restoring is probably the easier way to do it .
