Right first thing is first does the freezer have its own dial switch or do you set the temp using the dial switch in the fridge? Secondly check the freezer coils, might if that controls the freezer segment....

We thawed it out and found one tiny corner freezer-burned--and we only wrap in butcher paper.
Our freezer-record was a steak from a cow elk that somehow eluded capture for 9 years.
