As long as your freezer is working....
I'm sure with meat it is recomended to keep in the freezer for between 6-12 months.
That might reduce its quality or taste but it doesn't make needed one .
A bit dried out with 'freezer burn'.

Consideration is that a manual defrost protects your food from freezer burn longer than an automatic the temp that you have it set for it goes off.

Youre saying i would burn the fridge or freezer compressor out??? you think the load would be too much/freezer isnt made to cool off a constant heat load and run constantly so the unit would tend to burn hundreds of dollars....
