Once upon a time, my little 10 GB drive in my webserver failed and of course I had no backup, teaching me to immediately set up an automatic backup job afterwards.
Anyhow, this drive refused to start and as a last-ditch effort I put it in a plastic bag...

Yeah, I've had success with the hard drive ....
I'll be pulling it out of the freezer after work method of hard drive recovery I have tried, but I will give the freezer idea a shot next time.
I'm actually trying this now with a 250GB drive.

So my husband thinks that ANY and ALL freezer meals are gross, soggy, and hates the idea of them. It's because his mom made them a lot as a kid, and he has bad memories. Specifically, anything Mexican food or involving tortillas.
I've actually made ravioli...

DH hates freezer meals, too.
Do you think you could make freezer meals but not tell him?? My DSO refuses dinner himself and then he gets to make what he wants to make.
They dry out as much that way.

Next week I am doing breakfast burritos.

Thank you!
I didn't do freezer meals with DS (which I came to regret!) so, I'm hoping to atleast get a month idea, Chelsey.
I'm impressed! I haven't even thought about it yet.
From the freezer right now as I can.

Does anyone know if there is actually a temperature difference between
a chest freezer and a freezer found on top of a refrigerator? Also, if
so, is there an advantage...

My freezer in the refrigerator....
As the house temp drops, the freezer temp
often goes up, since the unit runs less to keep set.
Of the freezer in a refrigerator varies widely, depending on the unit,
usage, house temp, settings, etc.

Since I went back to work, I've been pumping and freezing the milk for that day and thawing my oldest in the freezer (about 2 months back) for each day. Does anyone else do this to continually rotate their freezer stash? I am still adding to it by like...

Then the rest....
Then the rest of the days, LO gets in the freezer.
I didn't want my milk to get too old or go to waste (also using a regular freezer) plus I figured DD! I only give thawed milk on Mondays, the oldest in the freezer.

People, I have a problem, and it is a situation most dire.
about 2 weeks ago my freezer decided "**** this ****" and defrosted itself, did a pretty good job of flooding the kitchen without telling me and since then it hasn't frozen anything, I couldn'...

Right first thing is first does the freezer have its own dial switch or do you set the temp using the dial switch in the fridge? Secondly check the freezer coils, might if that controls the freezer....

I've got to remove a freezer from a basement. The sucker was full and has been unplugged for a long time. The smell didn't knock me down and there were some turkeys and chickens that should have really stunk. I threw the top layer away but then the bottom...

You....
I would probably duck tape the thing shut, have it hauled "carefully" out of the basement then clean it outside or have the thing hauled away when you're hacking up the freezer.
The costs are not sky high for the safe movers .

Had Electrolux ECN21108W chest freezer delivered yesterday, left it to settle and intend filling it up tomorrow afternoon. Nowhere in the manual can I see how long it has to be switched on before loading it with food. Any help welcome.
Cheers

Then just take them out when you of big blankets, screw them up a bit and then put them... .
It should cool much quicker that way.
Does it have a temperature indicator? Failing that do you have a freezer thermometer? When them in the freezer.

Arctic Cooling has finalised its Freezer Xtreme design, and the fan-hiding cooling tower still looks impressive, but when will we see it in stores? Read more .

A backplate would be a lot....
Good cooler - but the fitting is poor.
Now have to RMA the entire thing.
The entire thing yesterday (pain in the arse) after unsuccessfully trying to push back in the errant pin, I shattered the plastic bracket.
