As i remember first gear was at smth like 5700 second 6000 don't know exactly You will get the most performance going to the redline .
I know that a saw a graph to get max torque .
To the redline is how you get the most out of the 1.8 .

Hi,
I am looking at buying a '96 LS400SE, but the only thing that is stopping me is the possible fuel consumption. Obviously 4 litres is a big engine, but what sort of fuel consumption are people genuinely getting out of theirs?

VK 5L fuel consumption hey guys does anyone know the factory specs for fuel consumption for a 1985 commodore 5L V8 Auto transmission
obviously an old carby V8 uses a fair ammount of fuel but at the moment im getting less than 200km per tank (60L tank)...

Did anybody tried this? I have read that it improves fuel consumption but didn't tried it myself. Apparently you add something like 4-16 mil to 10 liters of diesel and less for petrol.

And adding Acetone to fuel will not decrease fuel consumption, that is another change....
Change your driving style and see better fuel consumption rather than spending extra money to supposedly save a bit of fuel.

I thought this might be handy, enter your fuel consumption in MPG or l/100km and it will give you some stats such as fuel cost / range / how many times you will need to visit a petrol station!
Its a bit rough around the edges if anyone spots any problems...

no warning lights have come on, but its going through loads of fuel!
