I have bought an oil pressure switch to use on the electric fuel pump circuit as a safety switch.
But how do I make the fuel pump work when I turn on the ignition to start? At that moment there are no oil pressure, so I guess the safety switch will cut...

Car has cut out whilst driving yesterday, had to be jumped to start it and today it cut out again and had to get towed back to the house.
AA man has narrowed this down to the fuel pump relay switch, he took out the relay unit and was doing various tests...

From what I can, a Relay is 20euro new from BMW .
At least you might get 100 for it and recoup some of you money .
When you're not sure it's always the old pump.
Fails intermittently and would have you believe that the pump is gone.

I have a toggle switch to turn the ignition on and then a push start button to start .

Bypass the oil pressure switch, I didn't , so if the motor loses Oil Pressure , the fuel pump quits, independently of the oil pressure switch.
