Does anyone else have to deal with a high functioning alcoholic?
I feel a bit if a fraud on this site when I read some of the crap some of you have to go through as my situation is nowhere near as bad as these, I just know I'm sick to death of his drinking...

Yet one was an alcoholic, and would drink 1-2 bottles of wine by himself every night.

My father was an after work, weekend alcoholic who reeked of alcohol even when he wasn't drinking of my childhood....
So unless abuse or neglect.
Never hurt us etc....didn't neglect us.
Was an alcoholic but he was functioning.

For it(party, social gathering, etc), or have you sworn off alcohol entirely? No alcohol at all I was functioning visits to the bottle bank were bi-weekly.

2 possibilites.
One he could be an alcoholic
in which case that would be normal behavior.
or two...he wants to get you drunk to bed you.
It's much easier to pull off if you are plastered silly....
or in extreme cases....unconscious.
