GPS Software

Hmmm, maybe when I get home tonight, I'll try doing the restore from iTunes. I had followed the steps listed on Navigon's site, so that's kind of why I was wondering. It seems like Navigon is really outdoing TT in the reviews, so that's ultimately why I went with them. But I guess that's why I was wondering if people with TT were experiencing anything similar? source

Well, it will work with applications that support the external hardware framework. This thing isn't going to work out of the box with other GPS applications unless THEY support it. source

I have been able to synchronize, access, and update both my 60CSx and my Edge 305. My older 60C, however, is not seen through Parallels. Maybe it is something that changed when Garmin went to the new SiRF Star III chipset, as both by newer Garmins have that. source

I used to use the GPS on my n95 and again on my HTC diamond, only catch was on both these phones you needed internet access so it could download the maps as you went as they weren't preinstalled. Never going to be a substitute for the real thing but if your willing to spend 5 mins pluggin in directions before you go and not changing anything on the fly then it is fine. source
