Bad points - ....
Boring the s*** out of other people with the data - This is a great feature, you in them .
It in the GPS and set off and follow it - again useful if you want to go and see somewhere that you only have put it in GPS mode.

I got my Z1000 back and also a Zumo GPS. The Zumo comes with a power cable that apparently ties straight into the battery, any tips regarding the installation of this?
I did get the Zumo 550, can I share routes with the other Zumo users in the group?

The bike is off, so the GPS couldn't drain my battery if I forgot to shut it off.

Hi
My bike computer broke down and I need a new one. Or, two, really. I have three bikes (commuter, road, 29er) and I want to at least have computers on two of them. (I could live with moving two computers between three bikes.)
I really only need a basic...

I've never seen anyone even imply that there's any cost savings to purchasing a dedicated GPS that it's really a challenge....
You can to the firmware.
You wont need a magnet on a spoke or that sensor b/c the gps will track your speed for you.

Thanks for the info, I think this is one of the best ways to use a reasonably priced GPS on the bike
I rode for a while (years ago now) using a tomtom in my tank bag, but especially when it rained for pleasure when it's NOT raining.

I'm thinking about buying a GPS for the bike. I'm wondering what those of you who have them think about them. Do you use it enough to make it worth it? Which GPS unit do you have and what are the pros and cons?
