So I'm gonna build a new rig soon and I just wanted to know if my Zotac GTX 295 will bottleneck my 3930k. And is the GTX 295 still a good card to use?

Of your system? Since the GTX 295 is old so I'm guessing it will slow my CPU Down.

Thank god and behold it gave me bios post screen and I almost crapped myself in happiness .
No video on post.
My gtx 295 (asus) died 3-4 months ago.
Bios to the latest...nothing.

A few things to understand the issue better. Which PSU do you use? Have you connected all the PCIe power connectors to the GPU?
Which motherboard do you use? Was the card working fine until your friend gave it to you?!

I would check with my first gtx 295, it was a faulty card and I got it replaced.
With the prior GTX 295 and the only thing that you changed was the old GPU for the RMA unit.

Please make sure it is been made to boot from usb .after that if the computer that you now use... .
Try blind flashing, use another pc for this perpose , set in the boot option to boot from usb and remove off hdd cables but keep the optical drives connected .

I just done a benchmark test, I have 15fps as minimum on a furmark test ive uploaded the picture below off the test, is this right or is my card faulty im really confused and rather frustrated.
After 3-4 minutes off doing a stress test i had to stop it...

As to the squeal, it sounds like GTX 285 (tad bit more powerful than just one of the GPU's on your 295) runs regularly at 85C or so, so your going to be running....
So your fine.
GTX 295 is/should perform better than my single 470.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was an anti-static discharge that killed them or something .
