I'd like to change my username, and I've searched the name on Gaia via "FORUMS" > "SEARCH".
The results say there is no one with the username I desire.
But when I go to change my username, it says that the username is taken.
But it isn't.

Gaia's system reads Username, UsErNaMe, and User name as the same name.....
Gaia's system reads Username, UsErNaMe, and User name count as unique characters.
And capital letters don't count as unique characters.

Honestly I think something should be done about accounts that haven't logged on for the past 7-9 years. It's ridiculous and the amount of new users are severely limited in 'good usernames' to choose from. I don't want a username like " Hi " or "7094Hello...

Ok. I just wanted to add my 2 cents (no pun intended) about this particular feature of GaiaOnline.
I think it's ridiculous that we have to spend gold just to change our usernames and the fact the gold count climbs up by the 10 thousands is even more ridiculous...

Since changing genders and your username affects many features, and is taxing on the site.
