Every where i read on nutrition articles they mention drinking a gallon of water a day. Its 4 litres and i cant manage that..i try and drink a lot of water i manged nearly 2 litres and couldnt handle anymore.

So you will be ....
You should change 25-35% of the water with a gravel vacuum once a week.
Then when you do water changes, you add only enough to condition the water you add.
You put in the amount it says to put in per gallon.
