Are there some garage door openers that you just cant program in to your crossfire opener ??? I have a 2-3 yr old sears garage dooropener that just wont take any thing I try, it just wont work !!!!

I have a 95 eldorado
i have the owners manual that tells you how to do this but my stupid garage door opener has 3 buttons on it...not sure who makes the opener but it has a big button you press to open the door and 2 smaller buttons i never needed to...

The "synch" switch is in the garage door opener itself opener remote that came with the car.
