Hello! I just booked my stay at the Polynesian in a Standard Room with Garden View for late April 2012. According to the description on Disney's website, this room can have a view of either the parking area, garden, pool, marina or monorail.
Is it possible...

I requestedOur garden view one year faced the next building but had trees around it so wasn't a bad view.
When we stayed at the Poly we had a garden view room booked.
Great views on both sides.

The only problem I see in taking a chance, if you get a Garden View room and the place the resort....
More than likely they'll View option.
If should get a garden view room upon arrival, just ask to be moved.

Well, that's worth $50.
We've done Garden View for both of our visits.
Standard view is of parking lot.
Garden Views overlook the courtyard which is a nice view.
