I've got a Garmin Nuvi 260W that can connect via USB to my Windows computer. I've connected it and the device was detected and drivers autoinstalled by Windows.
My question is, ... what now? What software can use this GPS device?

The Garmin Software is free, however the Maps are not.
On the garmin website you can download software for your device

Each one has its quirks and I'd be that the ... .
That being said, lots of people use other products and are satisfied consistent than using the Garmin software and the method I described.

Clearly the Garmin software is significantly faster.
Then create your route to that waypoint and beyond.

This is very illegal (.aa) and don't licence any software to convert to this format.
Rights management (DRM) software that is built into the M4P/M4B format.
