Is it normal for there to be a strange smell when cooking on a gas hob? Used to electric hobs so no idea if it does this or not. I turn the knob and hit the ignite button and the flame appears, however while cooking there seems to be a faint gas smell...

Yesterday i filled up at BP gas station, got full tank, came home parked the car in the garage.
My room is upstairs and i woke up in the middle of the night from gas smell. The whole house smelled. I opened up most the windows and opened up the garage...

I have just finished replacing the left hand side "Fuel Sender Unit" as a result of the problem described in the title of this thread.
I got my E36 '94 325i Convertible earlier this year, and had been able to smell fuel fumes for a few months whenever...

Mine actually came from the top of the fuel the car I smell lots....
I get a very strong gas smell especially after filling up problem(gas smell)
only occurred when the tank was full.
I will check this tomorrow.

My Thing has picked up a persistent gas smell. It is noticeable in the cab and can be easily smelled when you walk past the car. The engine compartment and the front trunk seem to be free of fumes. There is no sign that I can find of gas dripping underneath...

Start with replacing all the soft lines including the evap system .
I replaced my gas cap , my smell went away .

Strong gas smell?
Does anyone else's garage smell like gasoline constantly?
Since I got the car, the garage constantly smells like gasoline...wife is far from happy with me at this point.
Is that normal with these cars? I've looked and I don't see any...

My and replaced the gasket during my restoration.the gas smell is not an issue anymore.
Installed a new tank and smell went away.
Gas was leaking from the tank behind the straps.

One burner not lighting on Whirlpool SuperCapacity 465 gas stove, ignitar clicks as gas smell but doesn't lite? I know it is a chemical that makes the smell that is added to the gas.
is the ignitor in need of replacement?

In a pinch, light a strand.
Generally when you turn the knob, all the ignitors fire, but the gas is only flowing to the burner to be on the ignition setting and light with a kitchen match or gas match and cook away.

What and How to remove Car Gas smell in Garage
The car has a Jaz vented fuel cell. I run elec. pump with return regulator. When ever the car is parked in the garage you cant help but notice the strong gas vapors. Any suggestions on eliminating the vapors...

If it was under half a tank no smell figure out why it would smell gas every time if im driving at 100, if it was some crack or hole it would smell....
This gulp...gulp...gulp sound and all I could smell was gas fumes.
