I like trains and planes and yes automobiles.... as well as an interest in world war 2, thanks to my grandad!

JDS Thanks! Here is the actual derivation....
If you were making a new gas mixture using, say pre-banked EAN36 you can substitute the 0.79 with 0.64 to get a new amount of oxygen required .
.79 is for all the inert gasses and water vapor in atmospheric air .
