One of my favorite authors, Terry Pratchett, said that to be a good writer you must read extensively outside and inside your genre. I think this is very good advice.

I disagree somewhat - I am that for some people, their choice has to do with their preferred genre, where/when they usually read.
99% of studies are completely made up.
Doesn't know how to read.

I finally decided to start a sketchbook after lurking for a while.
