It depends on the parts. A few E39 parts are out of production on RealOEM already.
You can still find parts for E30s, though, and there's always ebay!

I remember hearing somewhere that German manufacturers are required by German law to make bespoke parts for 10 or 12 years after the end and obscure electronic....
The way back to the '30's hot rods and parts can still be found.

the german fan-site ttlg.de seems down. A google search brings up something about an april fools joke, but now the complete site is unreachable.

Why all the love for german cars? I don't get it at all. Sure they are fast, and presumably well-built, but taken as a group they look like hell, excepting a couple marginally decent-looking machines.
