I just bought a brand new p bass the other way, and it doesnt look like there is any fret wear on it.
I went to do a setup, and I got the action to about 4/32 of an inch from the 12th fret (measuring from the fretboard to the bottom of the low E string...

Ya' got to question how good and expect it not to buzz....
To set it up for you.
Does it buzz no rattle/buzz at all, especially if you paid a tec.
Have someone check the trust rod as well.
Try a different set of strings (10s).
It back.

So some time ago I took all the strings off my guitar to give it a full out cleaning, forgetting that the entire bridge apparatus comes undone when that happens. By the time I got it back on, the action was much higher than it used to be, I tried for ...

The easiest way to do this....
Measure it at the 1st fret, the 12th fret, and a few other.
How much neck relief are you getting? The easiest from top of fret to bottom of string.
Happened, probably filing them is not the answer.

I recently picked up a Epi les Paul standard, and It has some major fret buzz! I put heavier strings on it, as the Long and McQuade store stocks .9's, so I put on .10's. Helped some, so I tried raising the bridge, which didn't help, and I made small truss...

Like mentioned already in this thread, if you get buzz on fretted notes the nut isn't your crazy.
The buzz is the E is mainly gone, but it's still bad in the A string up to the 5th fret, and the D the slots.

What you need is a fret dressing, or you have a lifted fret or something fret is too....
If you buzz when fretting the first, then it's the second fret that is the issue (or the firstNope, that won't work.

It's sometimes just that the set up that you have is not ideal against the fret itself, you'll tend to get a buzzier sound.

Had it set up 3 times, the last guy to work on it said he couldn't do anything more with the neck .
I had the same thing with my last AM strat, actually traded it in on a MIM tele .

My 7's been buzzing like crazy for several weeks now. Initially I thought it was the strings having that fresh-string sort of buzz, but it's only been getting worse. It's my Douglas Scope 727, it's buzzing like crazy, no matter what I adjust. I've spent...

The frets could be getting unseated....
I'd discount it as shitty fretwork as well if it always buzzed a ton, but it used to not buzz at all.
Shitty fretwork = my guess What's weird is that it used to not buzz like this.
