What are ups and downs of getting a GED? What are the ups and downs of getting a GED, i know its not as good as a high school diploma but that aside

You'll never get a job based on your credentials, and a *lot* of....
The GED the ged person went back to obtain a education.
With some focus, people can often complete a GED a lot more quickly than getting a HS diploma.

A friend of mine is wondering if he has a GED or not. He vaguely remembers some classes they had him in, but doesn't know if he has a GED or not.
I think it was law that one had to aquire a GED within some timeframe after joining, no?

In the late 60's, but had taken the the test while in Bootcamp I joined in 58 no GED but did get one a couple grade in 1964 Joined the Corps thinking....
Not that I know of....You could get in without a GED in 1979 when I signed up.

Community colleges with a GED and once you get your first diploma(s), you can transfer to collegesDoesn't really matter anymore these days...

Is life hard after dropping out of high school and getting a GED? I just feel like I made a big mistake. I'm regretting that I ever made that decision. I didn't get my GED yet but I'm studying for it. I feel like I won't accomplish anything. It frightens...

You can get your GED and go to a good community college if that is what you want.

These days almost everyone has a GED or went on after highschool to get some sort of degree.

Sometimes all you have to do is take a test and not even classes to be able to "grandfather" ... .
So just go back and get your GED.

I have a GED and was wondering if any branches are currently accepting ONLY a GED at the moment. I know that in order to be a Tier 1 equivalent I need 15 college credits along with it, but does anybody know if there any way I can get in with only a GED...

The GED you have to be able to pass about how the GED makes people....
I passed the GED on my first try and I'm enrolled at my state university and I'm currently getting all you have to do is show up and get a passing grade.

Google on "<your state>" GED diploma college and find your state's Board of Education.
My college requires be different.
The GED is equivalent to a high school diploma, as far as requirements go.
