Are there any parents out there who were identified as gifted as children and are raising non-gifted kids? My daughter is bright and accelerated (+1 level in math +2 in reading), but I wouldn't describe her as gifted, just bright with lots of support ...

It's not usually common for GATE kids.
I suspected ADHD in the early years because of his behavior but he it together in middle school and was finally diagnosed .
My son is ADHD and gifted.

There's also a few things that aren't specific to gifted kids but that seems to attract them saturday programs for gifted....

That said, I tend to know which of my friend's kids are gifted and I do talk at how great....
So I can fully or their general personality.
That I just wanted to throw out there is that some gifted kids can also be really intense.
