Just wanted to warn others about dry salt and smooth glass cook top stoves. To my astonishment recently, I scratched the top of my stove with dry salt! My husband likes to fry food and has the habit of salting his food on his plate as it sits on the surface...

I really don't like mine, heats to fast. Wish I had gas.
But I found the best cleaner is Greased Lightning, better than the brands designed to clean them. I spray, let it sit for a bit then rinse with clear water on a microfiber cloth. Then I polish it...

FWIW, my old smooth top range (Kenmore) was a million times easier to keep clean than my/2011/06/15/how-to-clean-your-glass-cooktop/ To get the burnt on stuff off, use a straight edge razor the rounds on Pinterest....
