I'm trying to figure out how to make really nice glossy flyers for a family friend, however i'm not sure whether its the paper im getting wrong, or my printer. I'm actually currently looking for a nice new printer (any recommendations?)

Inkjet is good with photos especially if you use glossy to semi-gloss paper.
Be printing? Well if you want glossy flyers that are similar to photos in quality you need glossy card mostly for.

When you look to buy laptops, which of the two displays do you go for and why?
I always had matte displays and am a little tempted to buy one with a glossy display because it looks so pretty. However, I was told that it is likely that I'll get irritated...

I've got a glossy screen for three years and I've NEVER EVER EVER had an issue with....
Matt display is less glare in outdoor and sun-lit conditions .
I would go for matte, the reflection issues with glossy displays can get horrible at times.

This is how they look in vista. They are glossier than the normal buttons and when the mouse is not over them they are flat. They have a correspondent version on Windows XP. Is there a way to get them using wxPython?

In general, do either of these photo paper finishes lend themselves to displaying images as sharper than the other? Many current photo kiosks offer a choice. So for someone wanting quick (one-hour or less, photos and enlargements) do glossy or matte finishes...

I have had film photographs printed on matte a choice .
I would say glossy - but I always print on glossy.

For those of you a little south, there's a rather elegant Glossy Ibis showing well in Borth at the moment. The bird is also Darvic ringed White 8J9, probably a Spanish project in Huelva, on the southern Spanish coast.

I have a set of wide steelies for my '68 Ranger. I'm having problems deciding if they shold be flat or glossy, they are off to get powdercoated in the near future.

Pull out your background which you want to do the text blurring. Write whatever you want in white. I usually do this with an Arial...

This will make it blur again and it's pretty nice depending on what you're doing.
Cool, and if you want it even sharper try duplicating your duplicated layers after you've added the effects .
