I am trying to replicate a feature of GMail in my own application.
When changing folders in GMail, the display will stay on screen and a small loading banner will appear on the top of the site.
This is desirable, since it prevents the screen...

Something impossible in your setup as the Google Toolbar does not work in Firefox 6 and won't install.

I have an idea of how they would do this but it seems very hacky way about going about it.
The problem I see from this is that youtube needs to grab gmail or google cookies.
The way I would do this would be to open another frame from the gmail domain ...

In gmail, they display the
subject - followed by a short snippet from the body
and it looks like the body text is clipped, i am assuming this is done with css, gmail style sheets are fairly complex, so am not certain
