OK, so in a few recent forum questions and some in-person conversation with riding buddies, one question has come up a lot lately: how do I get faster?

Let's say that you recently ran one of those PC optimizer programs. I think it's fair to expect faster boot times, and faster application load times. But, is it fair to think that your websites should load faster or have a better experience browsing the...

I've heard many opinions on this subject, but never saw any good proofs that C is faster than C++. So, ...is C faster than C++?
EDIT: This is a Runtime comparison.

Answer Snippets (Read the full thread at stackoverflow):
Go check the language....
Be faster than C or have comparable performance
Languages don't have an ordering, and even implementations will be faster on some problems, slower on others, so your question is somewhat naive, older language.

Otherwise xtofl has it right.
UPDATE be faster.
Unless the hashing algorithm is extremely slow (and/or bad), the hashtable will be faster.
